Description

Our red Kampot pepper is characterized by its fruity aroma. The farmers use elaborate manual labor to harvest only the ripe red pepper berries individually from the panicle. These berries are then hand-picked again and placed in 42 degree water for a short time. Through this process they retain their red color. They are then dried in the sun.

The farmers use their traditional knowledge and know-how to carefully process this exceptionally tasty pepper into a premium product.

He's a real piper and has nothing to do with the pink “pepperberries” (Schinus terebinthifolius) to do.

The aroma of red pepper is floral, fruity and spicy, it goes very well with various meat and fish dishes as well as in vegan cuisine. Due to its long maturity, it also has a sweet note and therefore goes very well with desserts and fruits.
